Get Ready. Get Organized. “Back to School” Tips for Success
!

In this fun-filled and pratical workshop, participants will reflect on their practice as a means to prepare for the transition from summer to the fall. Before you head off on your
well-deserved summer vacation, join us as we look at what you can do over the summer months to get ready for September. We will share strategies for; planning for a new group of children, helping parents and children cope with separation anxiety, working with a new co-operating educator and learn valuable tips for preparing for the fall. Join us to celebrate the success of this school year, look forward to summer vacation and plan ahead for a smooth transition back in the fall! 
Biography
Grace N. Edeh is the Fieldwork Co-ordinator and full-time teaching faculty member at Vanier College, Early Childhood Education and part-time teaching faculty member in the department of Early Childhood and Elementary Education at Concordia University. In addition to teaching, Grace has 13 years experience as an executive daycare director and is a former early childhood educator. Grace is well qualified in early childhood education with more than 20 years of experience in the field. Grace’s facilitation style is described as empowering and leading without directing. Her workshops have been described as “humorous, motivating, thought provoking and inspirational”. Grace is the recipient of the AECEQ’s 2006 Bothwell-Smith Award for outstanding contribution and dedication to the care and development of young children and to the field of early childhood education.

Bus route: 58 (from green line - Lasalle or d'Eglise stations - direction west)

From Highway 20 - Exit direction 'Champlain bridge' - get off on de La Verendrye. Head straight until first left turn (at light) - Jolicoeur...continue south on 5th Avenue until Boul. Lasalle. Turn right. Continue along Lasalle until you come to the Douglas Hospital Grounds. Enter at main gate.
